Our amazing group of LEGO® fans have found ourselves supporting local charities in Devon and Cornwall for many compelling reasons:

  1. Community Impact: We recognise that our passion for LEGO® extends beyond building blocks. By contributing to local charities, we are able to directly impact our local communities. It’s a way to give back and make a positive difference.
  2. Shared Values: The LEGO® community values creativity, collaboration, and imagination. These align well with our spirit of charitable work—working together to create something meaningful.
  3. Purposeful Events: Our shows provide an ideal platform to raise funds for charity. Attendees come together not only to admire impressive builds but also to support incredible causes.
  4. Family-Friendly Environment: Our events are aimed at families, children, and people of all ages. By supporting charities, our group create an inclusive space where everyone can participate and contribute.
  5. Inspiring Creativity: LEGO® builders often draw inspiration from the world around them. Supporting local charities fuels our creativity, knowing that our efforts benefit those in need.
  6. Building Connections: Just as LEGO® bricks connect to form intricate structures, supporting charities connects people. It fosters a sense of unity and purpose within the community.

In summary, we have embraced charity work as an extension of our passion—a way to build not only fantastic models but also a better world.

Get Changed was chosen as a charity on a recommendation from the Ockment Community Centre (in particular thanks to Julie and Donna) due to their brilliant work and support for local community.

Thanks to the generosity of those attending the event in July 2023, we managed to raise

£531.66 for this worthy cause.

“Based in Okehampton in Devon, Get Changed Theatre Company is a vibrant organisation for adults with learning disabilities in West Devon and Mid Devon. Founded in 1995 with only seven artists, we have grown in size over the years to deliver more challenging performances.

Our Mission: To produce high quality arts projects which challenge public attitudes and raise the profile of the disability community.

Our Vision: To increase awareness of the problems faced by people with learning disabilities and leave something striking and of lasting value within the community.“

“Jeremiah’s Journey was born in 1996 out of keen recognition by a small group of NHS professionals that there was no dedicated service in Plymouth to support bereaved children.

Your support is crucial in our mission to transform grief into healing for children and families facing bereavement. By donating to Jeremiah’s Journey, you’re providing vital resources that enable us to offer compassionate support, guidance, and hope to those navigating the difficult journey of grief.

Our aim : to reduce prolonged and traumatic distress after bereavement. We believe that no child, young person, or family member should be alone in their grief. We will listen well, and ensure that they can face the future, with new skills and ideas. This enables them to enjoy their lives more fully, with grief being one part of their life, but not what defines them.”

By attending the Plymouth Bricktacular event in November 2023, your contributions have allowed us to raise £284.68 for this incredible charity.

“Corey’s Farm is a small holding that provides solace for children, young people and their families facing both emotional and physical challenges.

We are based near Kilkhampton and support families in Cornwall, including the Cornwall/Devon border.

Corey’s Farm achieves this by offering therapeutic interventions through Animal Assisted Therapy and Nature Based Activities.

Our Aim: to provide animal and nature based therapeutic interventions and education to children and young people with complex emotional needs in Cornwall, and along the Devon Cornwall Border.”

Dan’s partner handpicked Corey’s farm as the designated charity for Bude Bricktacular 2024. Being a relatively new and community-based family charity, we recognised the opportunity to contribute to their remarkable efforts. The dual focus on assisting families navigating diverse challenges and caring for animals resonated with us. Given our shared love for pets, we deeply appreciate the therapeutic impact animals can have. Knowing that these interactions offer a brief escape from life’s daily struggles made supporting Corey’s farm even more appealing.

Thanks to your support, the incredible success of this event allowed us to raise an incredible £1071.06 for this amazing cause
